We had such a great time celebrating with Jaci and Eric this weekend at their wonderful wedding at Holy Trinity and Heritage Hunt. The rain may have dampened the grass on the golf course, but it didn’t do anything to dampen the spirits of the couple or the families or guests. Congratulations Jaci, Eric, and Cole!

We’re so excited to have been chosen as one of Photo District News’s Top Knots for 2013. Here’s a quick look at Jon and Betsy’s engagement session in Ellicott City.  We spent a couple of hours nosing around their hometown and had a great time.  I can’t wait to be back there in October for their wedding on Main Street.

Here’s a quick look at Nick and Tiffany’s engagement session at the Cherry Blossoms.  We had to reschedule this shoot a couple of times as the notoriously fickle cherry blossoms seemed rather reluctant to make an appearance this year.  But once we finally set a date, what a show we got.

And it’s not just the Cherry Blossoms that make for a great springtime shoot downtown.  The FDR memorial is right next to the Tidal Basin and is full of great little corners to shoot and there’s the Lincoln Memorial and my new favorite, the DC War Memorial.

We can’t wait for May when we help Nick and Tiffany celebrate their wedding.   Congratulations and we know it will be a magical day for you.

It was a joy to spend this past Saturday in Philadelphia with Jeff and Catharine as a part of their wedding.  From beginning to end, the day was a joyous celebration of their love.  From a beautifully personal ceremony at St. Patricks, to pictures at Rittenhouse Square, and a delightful reception at the Philadelphia Cricket Club.

Congratulations to Brittany and Gonzalo on their beautiful wedding this past weekend at The Regency at Dominion Valley.  The day was a great way to kick off our 2013 wedding season and we were so happy to be a part of their day.

We’re so excited that Borrowed & Blue have decided to feature Sara and Darren’s beautiful wedding in their Real Weddings. I had a great time last fall at Pippin Hill with Sara and Darren and it’s really no surprise to me that people would want to show it off.

And while I’m posting, another image from their wedding has been recognized by WPJA. This image of Sara’s dad just before the ceremony took 4th place in the “Great Natural Light” category of their 4th quarter contest.

Megan got in touch late last year about scheduling a family portrait shoot for her family. She wanted something a little different and said she life old doors and brick, so we met up in Old Town Alexandria and spent a couple of hours looking for fun spots.  We found more than a few!  

Lauren, who’s just about to turn one, was a great sport for the day and even let us get some pictures of just Mom and Dad.

Since Matt and Megan didn’t have any wedding or engagement pictures taken, we took some time to get pictures of just the two of them.
