This Saturday I spent the day shooting for Gripped Films on the set of a sequence they’re filming for their next documentary, Chasing Legends. We were in Georgetown, shooting on one of the streets that still have cobbles and trolley rails, both of which made for some challenges for the riders and caused at least one tubular to come off the rim and a couple of wrecks.
It was great to see Jason and Ken doing their thing and getting through what seemed like an endless shot list in a limited time. I tried to stay out of the way, capture some of the behind the scenes action, and the atmostphere of the day. Some of the riders and spectators who came out to help were really into the part.
It was a good time and I can’t wait to see the film when it comes out. The film will premier at the Tour of California in May and will have a DC premier in June. See more photographs from the day after the jump and there are still more over at flickr…
