How do sessions for kids & family portraits work?
We work on location. For newborns we’ll work in your house. For older children and family sessions we’ll typically work outside, at a location of your choice. Once kids are walking, parks makes a great location. We like to make pictures of your kids while theyr’e having fun, as that fun will show through in the photographs.
How much does a session cost?
When do you schedule sessions?
When we work outside, we try to schedule when the light is best, either early in the morning or in the evening. We will always try and schedule the session for a time when your children are likely to be happy and active.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If it looks like there’s rain in the forecast for the day and time of a session, then we’ll coordinate a couple of days ahead and try to plan around it. If we’re planning on an outdoor shoot and unexpected weather forces us to cancel, then we’ll reschedule.
I’d like to use your photograph in a holiday card/birth announcement. Can you give me the high resolution files?
We don’t sell high resolution files, however, we can create holiday cards in house and probably for less than you’d spend at most online card sites. If you’re interested, please ask us for samples of the designs we have available.
